Woah! Time flies! We are back on Bertha! It has been six weeks off Bertha and we hardly survived life without her for those many, many weeks. Bertha is up and running very smoothly!

We have done everything there is to do in Tasmania and heaps in Victoria too, we went on the Melbourne star, the museum and also went ice skating. But my favourite thing was Hedgend maze, I reeeaaally suggest you go there IT IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am looking forward to continuing our trip to Mildura and  Broken Hill and I am also looking forward to our family get together on Monday! Big Bertha is riding really smoothly and I love having her back!

Bad News

Wow! In Hobart already! Well......we are in Hobart but not on Bertha, we are staying in a cabin while Bertha is in hospital because she has a fever! She over heated coming over a really steep hill on a really hot day. At first, we thought we just needed a new part for the engine and the mechanic said it would take 4 or 5 days so mum and dad booked us in for four nights in a cabin in a caravan park. But......on the third night dad got a tragic phone call, dun dun duunn.....BERTHA NEEDS A NEW MOTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So now we are officially 'trailor trash' because we won't have a house for 2 and a half weeks!!!!! AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So now we've got to book 2 and a half weeks in cabins and hotels and to top it all off insurance does not pay for mechanical wear and tear!!!

But all these problems don't stop us having fun and seeing Tasmania and now I will tell you what we have been doing in Tassie. Hilly and pop came and we did heaps with them including most of these. We have gone to the Hobart museum where we saw a stuffed Tassie tiger and a 3D video on Antarctica and there was even an ice block (on top of a freezer) in the shape of Antarctica! We also went to Mona which is a really famous art gallery, my top 3 favorite artworks were the bit.fall, the pink fluffy room with the iPads and the Ping pong tables. Another thing we did was go to Richmond where we saw old Hobart town which is a model village of early Hobart after that we went to the Richmond gaol (jail) and I saw a giant huntsman spider wich was like 10 centermetres long it was so creepy I actually screamed, but I still enjoyed it! Aside from Bertha's breakdown I am really enjoying being on the road and this whole year will be incredible!!!!

Finally on the Road

Wow it's all started we are on the road!!!! Well, not really we are in a caravan park in Longford which is just outside Launceston in Tasmania. We left on Sunday and I really miss all my friends and family already especially Livy, Jazzie and Em. Yesterday we went to Cateract Gorge Basin 1 Chairlift, it was awesome! When we got there we went on the chairlift over the first basin and stopped for lunch at the top. Then we walked back to the other side across a suspension bridge called Alexandra suspension bridge and went on a short hike called Duck Reach. After that we went to the pool which is near the start of the chairlift, it was freeeeeeezing cold! I enjoyed it and I think this year will be awesome!

About my long lap

Hi, I'm Lexie and I'm going on a long lap around Australia next year on a motor home bus. Why, you might ask? Well, the reason I'm going next year is because my parents work full time, so my little brother and i go to before and after school care nearly every day!

So to do this we have to sell the house and buy a bus.
